The end to end process of loan origination in the USA is a traditionally complicated, fragmented and disjointed one. Loan originators typically need to access multiple systems to get a loan from application through to securitisation. Confidential files are sent via email and there is still a lot of "paper" based work done in the process.
While there are a fair number of companies that address some of the above issues, they usually focus on certain stages of the journey. The primary goal of this project was to create a single platform (with both customer and internal facing versions) that handles the loan origination process from start to finish electronically: Application capture, uploading documents, directly connecting to banks, verifying and signing documents, closing the loan, disbursing funds and more.
